Originally drafted 186th overall by the Tampa Bay Lightning at the 1995 NHL Entry Draft, Joe Cardarelli would play his lone AHL season in 1996-97 as a member of the Adirondack Red Wings. Offered here, is this Red Wings third jersey worn during the 1996-97 campaign by Cardarelli. Made by Bauer, a trio of labels including those for Bauer, washing instructions and size “54” designations are affixed to the inner collar while the Bauer logo has been embroidered into the reverse neckline alongside a AHL league crest. A classic style tie-neck garment sporting a design based off the TBTC jerseys worn by the Detroit Red Wings in 1991-92 and 1993-94, the front of the jersey is decorated with and “Adirondack” script patch in tri-layer stacked tackle twill above the famed winged wheel crest of the parent NHL club while an additional Bauer logo is embroidered into the left breast and a Flomatic Values sponsorship patch graces the right. Featuring additional Red Wings logo crests over both shoulders, the sleeves and verso have had Joe’s number “7” sewn on in tri-layer stacked tackle twill numerals that match the “Adirondack” patch over the front while “Cardarelli” is spelt out, also in matching style, across the affixed matching nameplate. Showing game-wear though a single stick mark over the right sleeve, staining is present over both the front and reverse that is worth mentioning for accuracy. Additionally, Cardarelli has signed over the front with a red marker ink signature that displays without issue.
