One of many players synonymous with the lore that is the Montreal Canadiens, Guy Lafluer, a 17-year NHL veteran who won five (5) Stanley Cup's with Montreal during the 1970s, would have his birthday celebrated by the team on September 20th, 2009 with a tribute night that also acted as a charity fund raiser. Offered here, is this Montreal Canadiens jersey hailing from The Flower's birthday celebration that has been signed by five (5). A Reebok made garment sporting both brand and size "L" tagging affixed to the inner collar with a size "L" jock tag over the front left hem, the front of the garment is decorated with the famed "CH" crest of Les Canadiens in tackle twill. Accented over the sleeves with Lafleur's number "10" in dual layer white-over-blue tackle twill numerals, a "Guy! Guy! Guy! event patch has been added over the right breast. Remaining in overall good condition with a small black mark under the collar, which sports an NHL shield crest, a couple of fabric snags throughout and a small spot stain at the left edge of the crest, those that have signed through the Canadiens logo on the front included Guy Lafleur and Jean Beliveau as well as Ray Bourque, Marcel Dionne and Gilbert Perreault. All having signed the piece with black marker, all five (5) autographs display well and without issue.
