The late Reggie Savage played a total of 34 NHL games with Washington and Quebec during his 15-year pro career. Savage, who died of cancer at age 53 in 2023, wore this Syracuse gamer during his 10-game first stint with the Crunch in 1995-96. He had nine goals and five assists with the AHL team and also played 66 games for the Atlanta Knights on the AHL that season. Size 54 and CCM flag tags remain in the neck and patches include a P&C Foods sponsor’s patch on the right breast, a Crunch secondary “A Swift Kick in the Ice” patch on the right shoulder, and a Crunch Foundation patch on the left shoulder. The AHL 60th Anniversary patch is sewn on the left hem and the right hem has the CCM logo embroidered and the AHL patch sewn on. Solid game wear on display with loads of black stick/puck marks on the front tail testifying to the style of play during that era. There are a couple of faint marks on the bottom portion of the elaborate team crest sewn on the front. Stick marks, board burns and unrepaired burn holes on both sleeves and a nice board burn on the left “3” on the right sleeve and red paint transfer on the front of the upper right sleeve, and stick marks on the back demonstrate really good game wear. There is evidence of a former longer nameplate.
