Drafted in the fourth round by the Calgary Flames in 2004, Brandon Prust would go on to play 486 NHL games with Calgary, Phoenix, the N.Y. Rangers, Montreal and Vancouver. Prust’s Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights game-worn jersey is from his first two pro seasons with the Flames’ AHL affiliate. The Ak-Sar-Ben Knights spent those two campaigns, 2005-06 and 2006-07, in Omaha before the franchise was relocated to Quad Cities. Prust racked up 294 PIMs in his pro debut and followed that up with 211 in his second season in Omaha before posting 248 in Quad City in 2007-08. Nice to know that he placed a big bold red marker autograph on the fight strap of his Ak-Sar-Ben Knights game-worn jersey, which has a MeiGray Group patch sewn inside the right rear tail. Size 56 flag tag hangs in the back of the neck below the Reebok AHL tagging and an Alegent Health sponsor’s patch is sewn on the right breast. “O AK” patch is sewn on the left shoulder and a Calgary Flames patch is sewn on the right shoulder. There are some reddish-brown spot stains below the Knights team crest on the front and an unrepaired hole adjacent on the white fabric adjacent to the grill on the Knights’ mask. The front of the jersey is covered with various black marks and the front seam of the collar is torn. More game wear includes a spot of red paint transfer on the right sleeve, an unrepaired hole on each sleeve, black marks on both sleeves and pilling on the left sleeve cuff.
