American goalie Gerald Coleman saw action in two NHL games with the Tampa Bay Lightning during his nine-year pro career. Drafted in the seventh round by Tampa in 2003, Coleman got into two games with the Lightning as a rookie in 2005-06 but spent most of the season in the AHL with the Springfield Falcons. Coleman also played three games for Springfield in 2006-07, but his game-worn jersey is likely from his rookie season as evidenced by the game wear. Goalie style and size 58 flag tags sit in the back of the neck, Tampa Bay Lightning patches are sewn on both shoulders and a Friendly’s sponsor’s patch is sewn on the right breast. A number of black puck marks surround the front of the jersey, including one through the eye of the falcon and a few more on the embroidered team crest. There is a reddish-brown spot stain above the crest and the right side of the collar and the top of the right shoulder have various areas of reddish-brown staining with a few more spots on the left shoulder adjacent to the collar. There are black marks on both shoulders and on both sleeves. There is red goalpost paint transfer on the elbows of both sleeves as well as under the rear of the right arm, the top left of the seven on the back and between the numbers on the back. AHL and Reebok patches are sewn on the right rear tail.
