Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction September 2023
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/19/2023
Drafted by Quebec in 1991, Rene Corbet dressed for four different NHL clubs, and spent a large portion of his professional career in Germany with Adler Mannheim. This Avalanche jersey was worn by the Victoriaville native in 1995-96, the inaugural and Stanley Cup season in Colorado. A Center Ice label and “56R" swatch is affixed to the collar, with embroidered NHL and Starter crests on the back bottom hem. Styled with the familiar Avs team crest in tackle twill partially embroidered, “20” appears over the sleeves and verso in textured twill, with matching “Bigfoot” alternate crests adorning each shoulder. Corbet has signed the team crest in black marker. Great game-use is shown, with marks and burns to the sleeves, with some red paint transfer to the "2" on the left sleeve. A quartet of team repairs are situated on the left elbow. A COA will accompany from the Aves.
