Colorful minor league gamer is this Cincinnati Cyclones jersey worn during the 1996-97 IHL season by Ron Hoover in his brief stop in the Queen City. Hoover played a total of 18 NHL games with Boston and St. Louis during his career. He got into four games with the Cyclones in 1996-97, when he also played 21 games for San Antonio. AT&T sponsor’s patch is sewn on the right breast and a fabulous Cyclones team crest sits on the front, which has black marks on the tail. Size 54 and Pro Wear flag tags hang in the back of the neck and secondary Cyclones crests are sewn on each shoulder. Bauer and IHL logos are embroidered on the right rear hem. There are black marks on the elbow gusset of the right sleeve and black marks on the left sleeve, including the bottom portion of the “0” in the sewn-on triple twill number 10. The jersey possibly had a former nameplate.
