Originally drafted 54th overall by the Montreal Canadiens at the 1994 NHL Entry Draft after completing his junior hockey career with the Kamloops Blazers, Chris Murray would play a total of 242 National Hockey League games over six (6) years before having to retire due to injury. Hailing from the 1995-96 season that he split between Montreal in the NHL and their AHL club in Fredericton, offered here is this AHL Fredericton Canadiens jersey worn by Murray. Made by CCM and sporting washed out Maska Ultrafil and size "56" labels that have been affixed to the inner collar, the reverse hem has had the CCM logo embroidered into it while an AHL league crest has been sewn on alongside it. Decorated over the front with the familiar crest of the Montreal Canadiens that was utilized by Fredericton in layered tackle twill, the distinguished alternate captain's "A" has been added over the left breast. Having had Murray's number "18" sewn to the sleeves and verso in dual layer white-over-blue tackle twill numerals, "Murray" is spelt out in single layer white twill letters across the affixed matching nameplate at the top of the reverse. Exhibiting good game-wear throughout, stick marks and board burns are observed throughout the front, reverse and both sleeves while the sleeves also display numerous coloured board paint transfers and multiple unrepaired cuts/holes. Also featuring heavy pilling on the interior, the fight strap shows salting and signs of multiple washes in its lifetime.
