Combining to play a collective total of 837 games in the big show of the National Hockey League, Louie DeBrusk and Sean Brown would skate together as members of the Edmonton Oilers in 1996-97, the club’s best season since 1991-92. Offered here, is this collection of two (2) Oilers jersey including a Louie DeBrusk game-worn offering from the early-to-mid-1990s, circa 1993-94 or 1994-95 and a Sean Brown game-issued specimen from 1998-99. Both made by CCM, the DeBrusk jersey features both Maska Air-Knit and size “56” labels affixed to the inner collar while the Brown displays “Made in Canada”, size “58” and Elite Sportwear tags that have been attached. Both having had CCM and NHL shield logos embroidered into the reverse hem, the front of each has been decorated with a familiar Oilers team crest in layered tackle twill with the Brown having been accented with matching alternate logo patches over both shoulders. Having had DeBrusk’s number “29” and Brown’s number “23” sewn to the sleeves and verso of each respective garment in tri-layer stacked tackle twill numerals, “DeBrusk” spelt out in single layer blue twill letters across the affixed matching nameplate of his jersey while “Brown” is laid out in matching style across the affixed matching nameplate of his jersey. Both sporting fight straps on the interior, in terms of use the DeBrusk exhibits wear via stick marks, board burns and coloured paint transfers that are observed over the body and both sleeves while the Brown remains in excellent condition with no signs of game-use. Additionally, the DeBrusk jersey has had the sleeves customized with inserts added to the bottom of each while the Brown has had a team patch denoting the jersey as a “Set #3 98/99” offering sewn into the rear hem. Of note, both also show light stains throughout.
