Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction April 2024

Selected 24th overall at the 2016 Draft by the Anaheim Ducks, Max Jones is currently in his 6th season with the club, having previously starred with the London Knights in the OHL. A rare and desirable style only worn briefly, we have a 2020-21 Ducks Reverse Retro jersey worn by Jones in a single game, on March 16, 2021. "58" sizing appears across the Adidas collar band, with NHL and Adidas crests to the front and reverse necklines respectively. Styled with the Wild Wing logo from 1996, "49" is sewn to the sleeves and verso in stylized and layered tackle twill, with alternate crests to each shoulder. We should note that the jersey has "Jones" arching directly over the reverse of the jersey, with the NHL Uniform Database noting this appeared on jerseys only during the first time they were worn that season, on March 16th. The second time the jerseys were worn on April 24th, the club had switched to a nameplate, with the name straight across the plate. As such, this jersey was worn by Jones only in the March 16th contest, where he had a total of 13 minutes and 28 seconds of ice time. There is no noticeable wear to the jersey, but that is explained by the limited use from Jones in that one single match. The team patch and bar code reside on the inside hem, and it denotes the year along with "Reverse Retro Jersey" and "Set #1".
