The University of Michigan's Athlete of the Year and a First Team All-American in 2014-15, Zack Hyman made his NHL debut with Toronto and spent parts of six seasons in Ontario before signing a seven-year, $38.5 million contract with the Edmonton Oilers in 2021. From his first season in Alberta, we have a signed Oilers "Armed Forces" jersey that was worn by Hyman during the pre-game warm-up on Canadian Armed Forces night, March 21, 2022. Elite labeling with "56" sizing is affixed to the collar, with NHL and Adidas crests to the front and reverse necklines respectively. Styled with a solid black screened team crest, "18" appears over the sleeves and verso in single black twill. There is also an "I Salute" crest over the lower front. Hyman has signed the reverse "8" in silver paint pen. Worn in just the warm-up, the jersey remains in like-new condition. A MeiGray tag numbered "U05241" is sewn inside the reverse hem, and according to the company's population report, the jersey is a "Olive - Military Appreciation - Warm-Up Only 3/12/22" specimen. The team patch is situated on the inside hem, with an LOA from the Oilers to accompany.
