One of the world’s most successful hockey countries of all-time, Canada’s men’s national team has won an unprecedented 28 World Championship gold medals, 9 Olympic gold medals and 6 Canada Cup’s/World Cup’s with an overall record of 1237–425–132. Offered here, is this collection four (4) Team Canada pro on-ice and signed replica jerseys that includes examples from the 1984 and 1991 Canada Cup’s, 2004 IIHF World Championships and 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics. The oldest jersey, a green coloured promotional or practice example from the 1984 Canada Cup is of an all-mesh construction and has both a CCM brand tag displaying a washed-out size “50” handwritten designation and a born-on date tag reading “84 07” partially attached to the inner collar. Featuring a CCM patch over the reverse hem and a cloth ribbon fight strap on the interior, the front is decorated with a heavy screen printed Canada Cup ‘84 logo with white maple leaves over the sleeves reverse neckline. Displaying light wear, board burns are present over both sleeves and lower front. For the 1991 jersey, a team stock CCM size “52” air-knit offering with labeling for both affixed to the inner collar, the jersey is decorated with the leaf logo and “Canada” over the front with red leaves over the sleeves as well with the CCM logo embroidered into the reverse hem. Originally from the collection of equipment manager, Brian Stafford, “91” has been sewn over the reverse in red twill numerals while “Stafford” is spelt out in matching style across the affixed matching nameplate. Void of the Labatt’s sponsorship patch over the chest, the jersey shows no game wear but has a few light stains throughout. Next, is a Team Canada practice jersey that dates to the style worn by the team at the 2004 IIHF World Championships. Made by Nike with brand/size “58”, “IIHF Authentic Collection” and “Made in Canada” tags affixed to the inner collar, the all-red garment features a Hockey Canada crest over the front and an IIHF patch over the reverse hem with a “Respect” stop sign over the reverse neckline. Displaying a Nike swoosh over the right breast with a fight strap present on the interior, the piece shows no signs of wear and is in excellent condition. Lastly, a Team Canada replica jersey from the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics is included displaying goalie Roberto Luongo’s number “1” over the sleeves and verso. Made by Nike, size “L” tagging is affixed to the inner collar with the front displaying a Team Canada crest that was designed for the games. Featuring both Vancouver 2010 and an additional Hockey Canada crests over the sleeves, “Luongo” is spelt out across the upper back in white twill letters with Bobby Lu signing the reverse number “1” with a gold ink signature that displays well. Overall, the piece remains in good condition with light marks over the lower front. Finally, also included with the lot is a Nike made Tissot Swiss Watches sponsorship promotional jersey that remains in new with tags condition and displays screen printed logos of the brand over the front, reverse and both sleeves with size “L” tagging affixed to the inner collar.
