Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction September 2023
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/19/2023
An excellent trio of game used lumber once wielded by key members of Edmonton Oilers teams of the early-1990s that have subsequently been signed by many of their teammates, offered here is this collection of three (3) game-used team-signed sticks featuring examples from Craig Muni, Mark Lamb and Petr Klima. With all three sticks still showcasing their original tape jobs over the knobs/handles as well as the blades, each stick has had their respective owners surname stamped to the upper shaft with the Muni and Lamb examples also having their numbers stamped alongside as well. Additionally, the Muni stick, a Sher-Wood PMP 7000 model, has had “P” handwritten to the shaft possibly to denote “practice” while the Lamb (Sher-Wood PMP 5030) and Klima (KOHO ProFibre 2211) sticks both have had their numbers penned to them as well. For the Muni and Lamb examples, both are still fully intact with no cracks or breaks while the Klima stick is cracked/broken near the bottom of the shaft and is held together by a heavy amount of tape. For the autographs, all signed in either blue or black marker ink over the forehand sides of each, the Muni stick is signed by nineteen (19) members of the 1990-91 Oilers including Fuhr, Joseph, Ranford, Smith, Semenov and others, the Lamb stick is signed by nineteen (19) members of the 1991-92 Oilers including Tikkannen, Lamb, Damphousse, Simpson, Tugnutt, Mellanby, Lowe, Smith, Semenov, McTavish, Glynn and others while the Klima stick is signed by eighteen (18) members of the 1992-93 Oilers including Ciger, Joseph, Klima, McTavish, Richardson, Tugnutt, Smith, Glynn, Tugnutt, Vujtek, Hudson, Podein and others. All the autographs remain legible and mostly bold with a small handful appearing lighter, most of which are found on the Lamb stick.
