Sticking around close to where he played his college football at Boston College, Dan Koppen would be selected by the New England Patriots 164th overall in 2003 and become one of Tom Brady’s best protectors from 2003 to 2011. A two-time Super Bowl champion, offered here is this jersey worn by Koppen during New England’s 50th anniversary season of 2009. Made by Reebok, a jock tag with size “52” and “09” (year) fly tags is found affixed to the front hem while both NFL equipment and Patriots wordmark patches have been added at or underneath the front collar. Displaying Koppen’s number “67” in tri-layer stacked tackle twill numerals over the front, sleeves and reverse, the all-important 50th anniversary patch worn by the Patriots during the season has been sewn over the left breast. Having been accented over each sleeve with both Patriots and Reebok logos, the jersey exhibits excellent game-use and is riddled with hit marks and paint transfers over the front, reverse and both sleeves as well while team repairs can be found in the silver stripe at both shoulders. Accompanied by a Patriots team COA as well as Heritage Auctions COA, the jersey has been photo-matched with Getty Image #95423529 (December 27th, 2009 vs Jacksonville) to the team repair at Koppen’s left shoulder as well as hit marks on the front number “7” and to the left of the aforementioned team repair.
