A product of the OMJHL's Kitchener Rangers and Toronto Marlboros, Bennett Wolf would be drafted 52nd overall by the Pittsburgh Penguins at the 1979 NHL Entry Draft and play in a total of thirty (30) National Hockey League games over the course of his career while racking up 133 penalty minutes as well. Also dressing in a total of 238 American Hockey League games from various Pittsburgh affiliates, offered here is this Erie Blades jersey worn by Wolf during the 1981-82 season, the final year of play for Erie before they relocated to Baltimore for the following season. Made by Sandow SK, brand labeling is affixed to the inner collar while the "Sandow SK" logo has been screened over the reverse hem of the heavyweight mesh construction garment. Measuring out to roughly a size "46" for its effort and decorated over the front with a screened on Blades team crest, the jersey, done in white, yellow and black colours to match their parent NHL clubs of Pittsburgh and Boston, has had Wolf's number "6" screened to the shoulders and reverse in dual layer yellow-over-white numerals while "Wolf" is spelt out in rubberized single layer black letters across the affixed matching mesh nameplate at the top of the back. With Wolf suiting up for a total of forty-five (45) games over the course of the season, the jersey exhibits just light game-wear via a couple of light stick marks and board burns over the lower front plus board burns, stick marks and coloured board paint transfers over the right sleeve. Also showing light board burns over both shoulder plus throughout the reverse and utilizing a penny and skate lace style fight strap on the interior instead of the sewn in loop style one, some very minor pilling is found on the interior as well as the inner collar. An LOA will accompany the piece.
Of note, there is also a large repair running from the bottom of the collar down to the top of the front crest that is worth mentioning for accuracy along with a bit of cracking to the number "6" on the reverse.
