Founded in 1961, the Kamloops Rockets would win the OMJHL/OJHL (Okanagan-Mainline Junior "A" Hockey League/Okanagan Junior Hockey League) in four (4) of their first five (5) years of existence, losing in the league finals the other year and also claiming provincial Mowat Cup championships in 1962 and 1964. Winning an additional Mowat Cup in 1971, offered here is this vintage BCJHL Kamloops Rockets jersey that dates to circa the 1970-71 season. A lightweight durene knit offering void of any tagging affixed to either the inner collar or interior, the classic tie-neck style garment measures out to roughly a size "40" for its effort and has had "Meyer" penned to the inner collar in black ink. Decorated over the front with a sewn on Rockets team crest that displays printed details throughout that have now faded from age/numerous washings and use as well as rip in the middle, the verso has been accented with the number "23" in single layer black satin twill numerals. Void of any sort of fight strap on the interior, the jersey displays game-wear via heavy team repairs around the collar as well as throughout the body and sleeves as well as light pilling on the interior and a few light stick marks and board burns. Additionally, there are a couple of unrepaired holes near the left cuff that are worth mentioning for accuracy.
