Originally formed as the Muskegon Zephyrs in 1960, and renamed for the 1965-66 IHL season, the Muskegon Mohawks spent almost two decades under that moniker, which included winning the Turner Cup in 1968. Featuring an alumni that that's a mile long and includes names such as Carl Brewer, Morris Lallo, Jeff Carlson, Glenn "Chico" Resch, Andre Pronovost, Bob Lorimer and many more, offered here is this Muskegon Mohawks jersey that dates to the mid-1970s and is attributed to have been worn by Yvon Vautour in his lone season with the club in which he registered 90 points in 76 games played. A durene knit garment made by Rawlings, a brand label that includes a "44" size designation in the bottom right corner of it has been affixed to the inner collar of the red, white and blue offering. Decorated over the front with a Mohawks team crest that features beautifully done chain-stitched details throughout, the sleeves and verso of the desirable shirt have been accented with the number "19" in dual layer red-over-blue tackle twill numerals. Void of any sort of fight strap on the interior of the jersey, good game-wear is exhibiting throughout including via stick marks over the front, reverse and both sleeves, board burns to both sleeves, team repairs to the lower front plus right sleeve, coloured paint transfer marks/burns over the left sleeve, unrepaired holes/fabric runs over both sleeves, upper reverse and the reverse hem and lastly, some light spot stains to the body and sleeves as well. Also display pilling on the interior, an LOA will accompany the piece.
