Canada's oldest junior hockey team, with roots dating back to 1917, the Regina Pats were originally founded by veterans of Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry and have gone on to achieve Canadian junior hockey supremacy with Memorial Cup championships in 1925, 1928, 1930 and 1974. Featuring a strong NHL alumni list that includes the likes of Conor Bedard, Jordan Eberle, Clark Gillies, Doug Wickenheiser, Esa Tikkanen and numerous others, offered here is this circa mid-to-late-1970s WCHL Regina Parts jersey. A durene knit garment that is void of any tagging affixed to the inner collar, the outline of a former label that is likely a Wilson one is still able to seen while the jersey itself measures out to roughly a size "46". Decorated over the front with a Pats team crest in layered tackle twill, the sleeves and verso of the blue, red and white coloured shirt have had the number "32" sewn to them in dual layer red-over-white tackle twill numerals. Riddled with heavy game-wear, stick marks, board burns, coloured board paint transfers and scrapes are found throughout the entirety of the piece while small unrepaired holes are present in each sleeve as well. Sporting team repairs over its entirety that total out to approximately forty-six (46) by our count, the interior of the jersey shows the remains of a once sewn in fight strap as well as moderate-to-heavy pilling and puckering behind the front crest.
