One of the most legendary franchises in not only the National Hockey League but all of professional sports, the Toronto Maple Leafs have laid claim to a total of thirteen (13) Stanley Cups during their 107 year history and can boast ownership of the most honoured members in the Hockey Hall of Fame with 62. Offered here, is this collection of eight (8) O-Pee-Chee and Topps Toronto Maple Leafs hockey rookie cards that date between 1970-71 and 1986-87. Paced by a trio of KSA graded offerings from both the OPC and Topps 1974-75 releases, a Borje Salming first year example from the Topps set displays a mark of ENM 6 while O-Pee-Chee first-year cardboard of both Lanny McDonald and Salming have been deemed worthy of EX 5 and VGE 4 designations respectively. All housed in KSA holders that remain in excellent condition, the rest of the collection, found in raw ungraded form, includes a 1970-71 O-Pee-Chee rookie of Darryl Sittler that presents in the condition range of G to VG with a light crease and rounded bottom corners while another Salming rookie from 1974-75 OPC is seen as FR to G due to multiple creases. Also including a 1980-81 O-Pee-Chee offering of Rick Vaive that sports 70-30 centering and is in the condition vicinity of EX-MT to NM, the final two cards included are those of Wendel Clark and Steve Thomas, both from the 1986-87 OPC set that present in the condition neighbourhood of EX-MT to NM with 70-30 centering and EX with corner wear respectively.
