Never playing in the Ontario Hockey League and going undrafted during his draft year, Steve Pinizzotto, a product of the RIT Tigers, would play a total of thirty-six (36) NHL games over the course of three (3) seasons split between the Vancouver Canucks and Edmonton Oilers. Offered here, is this Vancouver Canucks jersey worn by Pinizzotto during the 2012-13 season on March 16th, 2013 during the club’s game against the Detroit Red Wings that was used to commemorate 100 years of professional hockey in Vancouver. Made by Reebok, a lone size “56” tag is affixed to the inner collar while NHL shield and Reebok wordmark crests have been added over the front and reverse necklines respectively. A throwback to the sweaters of yesteryear worn by the Vancouver Millionaires in PCHA, the front of the jersey is decorated with a large beige “V” in felt material while marron coloured letters spelling “Vancouver” are embroidered into it. Having had Pinizzotto's number “13” sewn to the verso in single layer beige twill letters, “Pinizzotto” is spelt out in matching letters across the affixed matching nameplate. Exhibiting game use via dark stick marks and board burns over the right sleeve, an additional stick mark is found through the bottom of the “1” on the reverse while unrepaired holes/cuts are present at the lower reverse and near the right cuff. Photo-matched with Getty Image #164033711 (March 16th, 2013 vs Detroit) to the unrepaired hole near the right cuff, a Canucks team inventory barcode is found at the top of the fight strap on the interior with a Canucks team COA accompanying the piece.
