Donning the red and white of his native Canada for the third time at the 2002 IIHF World Junior Championship hosted by the Czech Republic, Jay and Team Canada would claim the silver medal with Bouwmeester registering a pair of points in seven (7) games played. Named to the Media All-Star Team for the tournament, offered here is this Team Canada jersey worn by Bouwmeester at the 2002 World Junior Championships. Made by Nike, brand/size “58” labeling is affixed to the inner collar above additional “IIHF Authentic Collection” and “Made in Canada” tags. Decorated over the front with a familiar Hockey Canada crest, Nike swoosh logos appear over the reverse neckline and right collarbone while an IIHF logo patch resides over the rear hem. Featuring vintage style Team Canada patches over each shoulder, the sleeves and verso have had Bouwmeester's number “4” sewn on in dual layer tackle twill numerals with “Bouwmeester” spelt out in single layer white twill letters across the affixed matching nameplate. Exhibiting good game wear, board burns are present over both sleeves and the lower front with light stick marks and red paint transfers observed over both sleeves as well along with a small unrepaired cut near the left elbow. A wonderful pre-rookie offering from a player who would go on to play in over 1200 NHL games.
