Drafted 6th overall by the Calgary Flames at the 1992 NHL Entry Draft, Cory Stillman would play 1025 games over the course of his career and is one of only twelve (12) players in NHL history to win the Stanley Cup in back-to-back seasons with different teams, with Cory hoisting Lord Stanley’s mug in 2004 (Tampa Bay) and 2006 (Carolina) respectively. Presented here, is this Hurricanes jersey worn by Stillman during the 2007-08 season. Made by Reebok and displaying a single size “56” tag affixed to the inner collar that display’s Stillman’s number “61” handwritten in black marker, the NHL shield and Reebok logo have been added over the front and reverse necklines respectively. Decorated over the front with a Hurricanes team crest that features both textured and embroidered details, the franchise’s 10th anniversary patch has been sewn over the right breast while matching alternate logo crests reside over each shoulder. Accented with Stillman’s number “61” in dual layer tackle twill numerals, “Stillman” is spelt out in matching style across the affixed matching nameplate. A “Set 2” offering according to the accompanying Hurricanes COA, the jersey exhibits good game use throughout with dark stick marks over the front, reverse and both sleeves along with board burns over both sleeves as well. Displaying a red board paint transfer near the right shoulder with a blue one under the “6” on the right sleeve and team repairs near the left elbow, light pilling is observed on the interior at the elbows. Displaying team stamping behind the crest on the interior, the jersey has been photo-matched with Getty Image #79710267 (January 21st, 2008 vs New York) to the large stick marks on the front of the jersey. Additionally, a MeiGray COR and LOA will accompany the piece as well.
