Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction September 2023
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/20/2023
Playing for five different NHL clubs despite going undrafted, Jon Klemm made his NHL debut with Quebec in 1991-92, and concluded his career in the DEL with the Straubing Tigers in 2008-09. This lot offers a Quebec Nordiques jersey worn by Klemm in 1994-95, and a Colorado Avalanche jersey worn in 1997-98. Both jerseys have collar labeling and sizing, with tackle twill team crests and numbers. The Nordiques jersey was recycled from the 1992-93 season, with evidence of a former nameplate, and the Stanley Cup Centennial patch removed from the right breast (other Nords players who wore #24 during the era include Wayne Van Dorp in 1992 and Paxton Schulte in 1994). We cannot confirm if this jersey was worn by Klemm during the training camp/preseason or regular season - where he played in only 4 games. The Aves jersey show stick marks to the lower front along with transfer marks, while the Nords jersey has just a few marks to the front and sleeves. An LOA is included from an auction house where the jerseys were previously sold.
