This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/19/2023
The 55th overall pick in the 1986 National Hockey League draft by the Minnesota North Stars, Rob Zettler would play 569 games over the course of his NHL career for six (6) different teams before turning to broadcasting and coaching after his retirement, where he would win a Stanley Cup in 2021. Offered here, is this San Jose Sharks jersey worn by Zettler during their inaugural season of 1991-92. Made by CCM, both Maska and size “54” labels have been affixed to the inner collar while both the CCM and NHL logos have been embroidered into the reverse hem alongside a Custom Crafted stamp. Decorated over the front with San Jose’s classic team crest as well as the NHL’s 75th anniversary patch over the right breast, matching alternate logo patches have been added over both shoulders. Having had Zettler’s number “2” sewn to the sleeves and verso in dual layer teal-over-black tackle twill numerals, “Zettler” is spelt out in matching style across the affixed matching nameplate. Displaying moderate game wear, stick marks are observed over the sleeves, front and reverse with staining observed in all those areas as well. Additionally, an unrepaired cut is found over the lower reverse to go along with a team repair under the crest on the front. Exhibiting light pilling at the elbows on the interior, an LOA from Ice Violence will accompany the piece.
