While the industry has routinely been dominated by cards picturing sports heroes of various leagues and competitions, cards of other pop culture’s franchises, figures and world events have also always been popular among collectors and fans alike, led by examples from Star Wars, Star Trek, Indiana Jones, Batman and numerous others. Offered here, we present this collection of 1960s non-sports cards that include examples featuring Batman, World War 2 and the United States Army Special Forces, the "Green Berets". Starting with the Batman cards, the group includes a 1966 Batman "A" Series specimen in the form of card #22 titled "Death Skis The Slopes" that is found to be in the condition scope of VG to VG-EX with some light corner wear as well as a total of ten (10) 1966 Topps Batman "Black Bat" cards that includes a copy of card #2 picturing Robin that appears in the condition range of EX while for the other cards, eight (8) appear in the vicinity of EX to EX-MT and one (1) is around the scope of VG to VG-EX. Sticking with the superhero theme, cards totalling sixteen (16) from the 1966 Green Hornet series produced by Greenway Productions are included with thirteen (13) found to be in the scope of EX to EX-MT while the other three (3) are lower grade specimens. Moving to the subject of war and special forces to conclude the collection, the lot includes a group of fifteen (15) 1965 War Bulletin cards issued by the Philadelphia Gum Company that showcase various scene and moments from the Second World War that happened 20 years before the release. With ten (10) of the included cards in the scope of EX to EX-MT condition, the remaining five (5) are in the neighbourhood of G to VG or a bit better. Lastly, a set of 1966 Green Berets cards round out the lot. Complete at 66-cards that are found to be in the condition range of EX to EX-MT, the checklist card, #66 in the series, remains unmarked while three (3) extras of cards #1, 10 and 47 are also included but in a lower grade range.
