One of the most influential bands throughout the entire history of music who revolutionized many aspects of the music industry and are often publicized as leaders of the era's youth and sociocultural movements, The Beatles, comprised of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr are the best selling musical act of all-time. A marketers dream come true in the early-to-mid-1960s offered here is this lot of various Beatles sets released by Topps in 1964, the height of "Beatlemania". Starting with a starter set of 1964 Topps Beatles Colour cards that includes 31 out of 64 cards that make up the checklist, the group of printed in Canada offerings present with approx 26 cards in the grade range of EX to EX-MT while cards #1, 4, 13, 21 and 26 are found to be in lower grades. Next, is a group of twenty-three (23) cards from the 1964 Topps Beatles Black and White Series 1 release that were printed in Canada. Again presenting with no duplicates and picturing black and white images of the rock stars over the front of each card, all the included specimens fall into the grade range of VG-EX to EX after inspection. Followed by by a group of thirty-five (35) cards from the same series that were printed in the United States, one (1) duplicate is present of card #1. Found to be in the grading scope of VG-EX throughout the entire group, around ten (10) of the included cards display with light smudging on their reverses. Closing out the available Beatles offerings, is a group of Series 2 Black and White cards that were again printed north of the 49th parallel. Including 31 of the 55 cards in the series, twenty-eight (28) of the included specimens fall into the grade vicinity of EX while the other three (3), #'s 61, 64 and 65 show burn marks to their top right corner. Lastly, also included in the collection is a group of 118 cards of The Monkees from 1966 that were produced by Raybert Products. With 44 cards making up a complete set, unfortunately one cannot be made in this case though many doubles and triples are present with all except for five (5) cards that present in a lower grade in the scope of EX to EX-MT or NM condition.
