A member of the Montreal Canadiens late-1950s Stanley Cup dynasty, Jean-Guy Talbot would win additional Cups with the club in both 1965 and 1966. After his days in Quebec, Talbot would star with four other NHL clubs before concluding his career after the 1970-71 season. This team-signed stick was used by the Cap-de-la-Madeleine native during the Stanley Cup championship season of 1957-58. A CCM Pattern Made Professional model with "Talbot" and "17" stamped to the upper shaft, stamps are also present on each side from team supplier Raymond Hardware. The original tape is in place over the blade and knob, with the stick exhibiting light game-use including dark marks to the lower shaft and a pair of age cracks beneath the tape visible at the toe. There is also some toning to the shaft. Approx 18 have signed one side of the shaft in what appears to be ballpoint, including Talbot, along with Toe Blake, Bert Olmstead, Dickie Moore, Boom Boom Geoffrion, Don Marshall, Bob Turner, Marcel Bonin, Maurice Richard, Jean Beliveau, Andre Pronovost, Tom Johnson, Dollard St Laurent, Claude Provost, Stan Smrke, Phil Goyette & Floyd Curry. Most of the signatures display nicely and are easily legible.
