Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction September 2023
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/19/2023
In his last season skating with the Canadiens, Ulanov chipped in nine points before being shipped off to the Edmonton Oilers as the trade deadline approached. In this lot, we feature his 1999-2000 game-used Pro Player white home Montreal Canadiens jersey and it features the popular NHL 2000 patch on the front right which was sewn to the jerseys of all players in the league that year. With fantastic wear that was accumulated in up to 22 games on home ice that year, look for extensive pilling on the back hem along with a fantastic group of board burns on the right shoulder. On the torso’s front, there are minor black marks toward the bottom to go with a small hole near the left arm and a larger one at the bottom left. The reverse side of the torso has some red paint transfer near the right arm while a large stain can be found on the opposite side. A smaller stain can be seen just below the stitching for the fight strap. The left arm has a significant board burn on the red cuff and in addition to multiple black marks, there is red paint transfer on the elbow. Moving over to the right arm, there is a bevy of game wear to be found such as multiple spots of red paint transfer, green paint transfer, black marks, and a board burn. There is no sizing tag on this jersey and the white tag on the collar has lost some of its text through washing. At the bottom hem on the back, there is a large Pro Player logo along with the NHL shield. Obtained directly from the Canadiens, a LOA from the team signed by Rejean Houle will accompany.
