A veteran of 758 National Hockey League games who was drafted 32nd overall by the St. Louis Blues in 1984, Tony Hrkac would suit up for eight (8) different NHL clubs during his career after winning the NCAA's Hobey Baker Award as the nations top college hockey player for the 1986-87 season. An NCAA National Champion with the North Dakota Fighting Sioux the same year as his Honey Baker victory, offered here is this Chicago Blackhawks "TBTC" jersey donned by Hrkac during his short "Windy City" stint in 1991-92. An Ultrafil material garment made by CCM, Maska and size "54" tags are affixed to the inner collar while both the CCM and NHL shield logos have been embroidered into the reverse hem as well. Based around the jerseys worn by Chicago circa 1940, the front of the barber pole striped offering is decorated with a vintage style Blackhawks team crest that has had the club's famed Indian head logo as well as "Chicago Black Hawks" embroidered into it while the NHL's 75th anniversary patch, worn throughout the year by all the leagues team's, has been added over the right breast. Styled over the reverse with Hrkac's number "11" in dual layer white-over-red tackle twill numerals, "Hrkac" is spelt out in single layer white twill letters across the affixed matching nameplate. Exhibiting light game-wear via stick marks over the lower front, reverse and both sleeves, light board burns are found over the right elbow and right shoulder. Sporting additional wear via another stick mark over the left shoulder and a board burn over the top right side of the nameplate on the reverse, the interior of the jersey displays pilling in each elbow area as well as some light salting of the fight strap. Originally obtained from Blackhawks equipment manager, Lou Varga, at the end of the 1991-92 season by Hrkac's brother in-law, these details as well as the wear is all outlined in the included Letter of Authenticity/Provenance from Doug Reisinger of The Hockey Gallery.
