Boston's 8th round choice at the 1987 NHL Entry Draft, Chris Winnes would go on to play a total of thirty-three (33) games in his National Hockey League career over the course of three (3) seasons, including twenty-nine (29) that saw him dress in the spoked "B" of Boston. A product of the University of New Hampshire in the NCAA who would play in over 475 American Hockey League games as well as represent the United States at the 1992 IIHF World Championships, offered here is this Boston Bruins "TBTC" jersey worn by Winnes during the 1991-92 campaign. An Ultrafil material garment made by CCM, sewn over Maska and size "50" labeling is affixed to the inner collar while both the CCM and NHL shield logos have been embroidered into the reverse hem. Made to resemble the sweaters worn by the "B's" between 1934 and 1936, the front of the black and yellow striped jersey is decorated with a Bruins "B" logo in layered tackle twill while the NHL's 75th anniversary patch, worn by all the leagues team's throughout the course of the season, has been sewn over the right breast. Having had Winnes' number "40" sewn to the reverse in dual layer black-over-yellow tackle twill numerals, "Winnes" is spelt out in dual layer white-over-black tackle twill letters that have been sewn down directly to the material at the top of the reverse. Void of any Custom Crafted stamping inside the reverse hem, the jersey exhibits good game-wear in the form of stick marks over the front and both sleeves while a couple of board burns exist over the upper portion of the left sleeve as well. Also showing team repairs over both sleeves and the upper reverse, pilling is seen at both elbows on the interior and salting is present in the fight strap snaps. Of note, light spots stains are found throughout the piece but are heaviest over the lower front. Sporting some light sweat staining around the collar, it is worth noting that the jersey appears to match up with the one that Winnes is wearing on the front of his 1991-92 Upper Deck card based on the placement of the 75th anniversary patch and layering of the "B" on the front but is not clear enough for us to call a conclusive photo-match.
