Playing his junior hockey with the Toronto Marlboros of the OHA and helping the club to a Memorial Cup championship in 1967, John Wright would would be selected 4th overall by the Toronto Maple Leafs at the 1966 NHL Amateur Draft and go on to a NHL career that would see him play in 127 games with the likes of Vancouver, St. Louis and Kansas City. Offered here, we present this Kansas City Scouts jersey worn by Wright during their inaugural season of 1974-75, Wright's last in the NHL. A colourful durene knit offering made by Wilson, a brand label displaying a size "46" designation is affixed to the inner collar above a sewn in Gunzo's label as well. Decorated over the front with a tri-layer tackle twill Scouts team crest that features beautiful chain-stitched embroidery details throughout, the sleeves and verso of the jersey have been decorated with Wright's number "7" in dual layer white-over-red tackle twill numerals. Having a "74" year swatch sewn inside the reverse hem, the jersey displays just light game-wear in the form of a couple stick marks through the front crest, fabric runs over the upper and lower reverse as well as both sleeves and a bit of light pilling the interior. Void of a fight strap on the interior, an LOA will accompany the piece.
