An interest piquing lot that is sure to entice both collectors and investors alike due to the names that are included within it, offered here is this collection of 1970s to 1990s O-Pee-Chee, Topps and Upper Deck hockey cards totalling twenty (20) that includes the first-year cardboard of HOFers such as Chris Chelios, Cam Neely and Grant Fuhr as well as vintage-signed cards of HOFers Wayne Gretzky and Patrick Roy. Starting with the signed examples, “The Great One” and “St. Patrick” have signed their respective signatures over the fronts of their 1984-85 Topps and 1987-88 O-Pee-Chee cards respectively. Both appearing to fall into the grade range of EX to EX-MT for the cards, that autographs both display fading from age but do remain perfectly legible. Of note, the Roy signature is an early career example that differs a bit from his commonly seen one. For the rookie offerings, Chelios’ 1984-85 O-Pee-Chee card is present and shows a small corner ding at the top left as well as wear to the bottom two points and a bit of edge wear that drop it into the grade range of EX while the desirable first-year cards of Cam Neely and Grant Fuhr present in the range of EX-MT to NM and EX to EX-MT respectively with the Fuhr showing a surface dent/elastic mark at the left edge along with a small ding to the bottom right edge/corner. For the rest of the cards, included are those of Bobby Clarke (1971-72 O-Pee-Chee – VG to VG-EX), Bobby Orr (1972-73 O-Pee-Chee – VG to VG-EX), Paul Coffey (1983-84 O-Pee-Chee – VG to VG-EX), Mario Lemieux (1986-87 O-Pee-Chee – EX to EX-MT), Joe Sakic RC (1989-90 O-Pee-Chee – EX-MT to NM) and Brain Leetch RC (1989-90 O-Pee-Chee – EX-MT to NM) as well as early-1990s cards of Modano, Lidstrom, Bure, Jagr, Fedorov, Forsberg, Kariya, Lindros and Gretzky that are all found in the range of EX-MT or better with some hailing as RC’s as well.
