Drafted 58th overall by the New York Islanders in 1988, Danny Lorenz would go on to play a total of eight (8) NHL games with the club from Long Island between 1990 and 1993. Enjoying a career that saw him play in various leagues all over the world including the AHL and IHL, offered here is this “Eastern Conference” jersey worn by Lorenz during the 1996 IHL All-Star Game in Houston. Made by Bauer, fully faded ProWear and size tags (the jersey measures out to a size “58G”) are affixed to the inner collar both the Bauer and IHL logos have been embroidered over the reverse hem. Decorated over the front with an “Eastern” Eastern Conference team crest that features embroidered details, a Bud Ice patch has been added over the left collar bone along with a Bauer wordmark logo patch above that. Of note, Lorenz played the 2nd half of the game for the Eastern Conference and only the jerseys worn during the 1st and 3rd periods had the Bud Ice patches meaning this is his 3rd period jersey. Featuring a sublimated red, white and blue all-star design with the event logo over each shoulder, the sleeves and verso have been accented with Lorenz’s number “31” in tri-layer tackle twill numerals with “Lorenz” spelt out in matching style across the affixed matching nameplate. Worn for just a single period of play, the jersey shows just very light use via a couple of light puck marks and other assorted marks over both sleeves and the body. Additionally, the jersey has been video-matched to 3rd period footage from the game showing the correct placement of the Bud Ice and Bauer patches as well as the left sleeve numbers.
