Hailing from a season in which he posted a record of 24-21-5 with a .907 save percentage split between the WHL’s Prince George Cougars and Calgary Hitmen, offered here is this Hitmen jersey worn by Justin Pogge during the 2004-05 WHL season. Backstopping Team Canada to World Junior Championship gold in 2006, Pogge would go on to play nearly 20-years of professional hockey in top leagues all over the world, including seven (7) games in the NHL with the Toronto Maple Leafs during the 2008-09 season. Made by Reebok and featuring brand/CHL labels along with “Goalie Style” and size “58” tagging affixed to the inner collar, the CHL logo had been embroidered into the reverse hem. Decorated over the front with a Hitmen in layered tackle twill that featured embroidered details, a WHL league patch is found over the right collarbone with a Reebok crest over the left one as well. Featuring Calgary’s alternate logo and 10th anniversary of the franchise patches over the right and left shoulders respectively, the sleeves and verso have had Justin’s number “1” sewn to them in tri-layer tackle twill numerals with “Pogge” spelt out in single layer back twill letters across the affixed matching nameplate that has been added over the upper back under an additional Reebok crest. Showing good game-wear via puck marks over the front and both sleeves with stick marks also being present, the back side of both elbows show light spots of red post paint transfers while heavy pilling is observed at the base of the right sleeve and on the inside of both cuffs in lighter quantities. Having been signed over the back number with a silver ink signature that has lightened with age, a Hitmen LOA and team hockey card which has also been signed by Pogge will accompany the piece.
