Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2023
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/27/2023
With the line-ups reading like a who's who of all-time NHL greats including Terry Sawchuk, Tim Horton, Frank Mahovlich, Jean Beliveau, Henri Richard and many others, the 1967 Stanley Cup final was the last championship of the Original Six era, and fittingly featured rival clubs the Montreal Canadiens and Toronto Maple Leafs. The series would go six games, with the Leafs upsetting the favoured Habs to claim the franchise's most recent Lord Stanley victory. We offer a Forum program produced for Game 2 on April 22, 1967, won by the Leafs 3-0, with Sawchuk and Bower sharing the shutout. Featuring Red Kelly on the cover, the line-up and roster pages are intact, with just light handling wear to the historic program including some minor toning to the interior pages. Accompanying, we have a matching season 1967 NHL All-Star Game Montreal Forum program. Featuring the Canadiens taking on an NHL All-Star team, the Habs were victorious, shutting out the All-Stars 3-0, with Henri Richard earning MVP honours. The cover is detached, with wear to the spine and interior pages including some creasing. The line-up page is intact, with a pair of pages sporting large tears.
