Drafted 4th overall at the 1987 NHL Supplemental Draft by the Minnesota North Stars, University of Alaska-Fairbanks product Shawn Chambers would go on to enjoy an NHL career that saw him suit up in 625 games and win Stanley Cup’s with the New Jersey Devils and Dallas Stars. Retiring after the 1999-2000 season in which he only played in four (4) games, up for grabs here is this Dallas Stars jersey issued to Chambers for the 2000 Stanley Cup Finals against the New Jersey Devils. Made by CCM and sporting both size “58” and “Made in Canada” tags affixed to the inner collar, the CCM and NHL shield logos have been embroidered into the reverse hem. Decorated over the front with a Stars team crest that features both textured and embroidered details, the NHL2000 and 2000 Stanley Cup Final patches are affixed over the right breast. Accented with matching alternate logo patches over each shoulder, the sleeves and verso have had Chambers’ number “27” sewn to them in tri-layer tackle twill numerals with “Chambers” spelt out in matching style across the affixed matching nameplate. Issued but never worn, the jersey remains in excellent condition despite some staining around the collar and a couple of fabric snags/marks throughout while a MeiGray patch denoting the jersey as a “1999-2000 Set 3” offering is sewn inside the reverse hem.
