Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2023
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/27/2023
Having spent 10 of his 12 seasons in the big leagues with the Montreal Expos/Washington Nationals franchise, Jose Vidro would earn three All-Star Game nods while donning the colours of the Montreal Expos, the club that drafted him in the 6th round of the 1992 MLB June Amateur Draft. Sticking with the club through their move to Washington after the 2004 season, up for grabs here is this Expos road jersey worn by Vidro during their final season of 2004. Made by Russell Athletic and sporting size “44”, “+1” extra length” and “+1” sleeve length” fly tags underneath the “Authentic Collection” jock tag over the lower front hem, the front of the jersey is decorated with a script “Montreal” in stacked red, white and blue tackle twill with Vidro’s number “3” and last name in matching style over the left side chest and verso. Sporting an Expos team patch over the left sleeve and an MLB logo over the reverse neckline, the jersey shows light use via some light soiling near the collar, some loose threads and evidence of washing on the twill accents and decorations.
