Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2023
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/27/2023
Sure to pique the interest of all vintage cardboard enthusiasts and dating from the middle of hockey’s “Original Six” golden era to the early days of expansion in the National Hockey League, up for grabs here is this lot consisting of nine (9) Parkhurst and Topps cards from 1954-55 to 1973-74 that have all been graded by either PSA or SGC. Led in terms of grade by a copy of Tim Horton’s 1966-67 Topps card that has earned a PSA NM-MT 8 after inspection, a 1954-55 Parkhurst card of Ted Lindsay follows behind in close proximity, having garnered a grade of NM 7 from the graders at PSA albeit with an “(OC)” (off-center) qualifier also being seen on its label. For the rest of the lot, additional NM 7’s are present in the form of a 1959-60 Topps Action Picture Hall and Henry and a 1973-74 Topps Bobby Orr All-Star (the lone SGC offering). For the rest of the cards, EX-MT 6’s total three (3) and feature a 1961-62 Topps Rudy Pilous RC and 1962-63 Topps team cards of the Chicago Black Hawks and New York Rangers while EX 5’s includes examples of Ted Kennedy’s 1954-55 Parkhurst card as well as the 1954-55 Parkhurst action card of “Terry Boots Out Teeder’s Blast”. All the holders remain in good condition with just light scratches and scuffs worth noting.
