Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2023

Recording 3,252 hits over the course of his 21-year Major League career, Nap Lajoie would win the American League Triple Crown during the circuit’s inaugural season of 1901. A 5x American League batting champion, Lajoie would be inducted to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1937, the second year in which players were voted for. Offered here, is this 1910 E93 Standard Caramel card of Lajoie. One of the most coveted and sought after cards in the set of thirty (30) that is known for its vibrant colours and action poses, this particular copy of Lajoie’s card sports vivid colours over the front with light toning being seen over the top left corner on the front and the area of the top right on the reverse side. A tad bit off-center from right-to-left and sporting a crease that goes the entire length of the card from top-to-bottom over the front which is only seen in some spots on the reverse, light rounding and corner wear is exhibited to all four points on both sides with a second light crease seen at the bottom left point on the front as well, putting the card in the range of G to VG in our opinion. A treasured vintage offering, don’t let your all-important vintage collection go without.
