Formed in 1932, the Montreal Royals Hockey Club operated in junior and senior leagues until 1961. The senior team of the club won the Allan Cup men's championship in 1939 and 1947, and the junior team of 1949 won the Memorial Cup junior men's Canadian championship. This framed composite team photo features the 1946-47 Allan Cup champion Montreal Royals with HOFer Doug Harvey. At approx 15" x 20", the full squad is pictured in bust-length images along with the Allan Cup. Harvey is situated in the upper right corner, with additional noteworthy NHL players to include Gerry McNeil, Floyd Curry and Gerry Plamondon. The photo is mounted to a 20" x 22" mount, and framed to full dimensions of 23" x 26". There are a few minor marks/blemishes to the photo and mount, along with wear to the frame.
