Seeing the hallowed Boston ground of Fenway Park transformed from a baseball diamond into a hockey rink, the 14th edition of the NHL Winter Classic took place on January 2nd, 2023 with 39,243 Beantown faithful taking in the event and seeing their hometown Bruins defeat the Pittsburgh Penguins by a score of 2-1. Presented here, we have this Boston Bruins jersey donned during the first period of play by B’s defenseman Derek Forbort. Made by Adidas, a band displaying “Made in Canada” and a size “58” designation appears along the inner collar while a design pertaining to the game made to look like Fenway’s scoreboard is seen above. Sporting both NHL and Adidas crests over the front and back necklines respectively, the front of the jersey has been decorated with “Boston” in individually applied cream felt letters arched across the chest with a Bruins 1975 to 1995 secondary logo patch that features embroidered details sitting underneath. Showing the all-important 2023 NHL Winter Classic event patch over the right shoulder, the sleeves and verso have been accented with Forbort’s number “28” is matching cream felt numerals with “Forbort” spelt out in matching style across the affixed tacky feeling nameplate. Worn for just a single period of play the jersey shows just light game-use via some light stick marks over the lower front hem. Marked on the fight strap with a hand written “1” in black ink denoting the jersey as a first period example below a Fanatics hologram, both Fanatics Game Worn and MeiGray tags are sewn inside the reverse hem as well.
