Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction February 2024

Dressing for five different NHL clubs throughout his 15 seasons, Jamal Mayers hoisted the Stanley Cup with Chicago in 2013, and despite not seeing action in any playoff games, the Black Hawks were successful in petitioning to have Mayers' name engraved on the Stanley Cup. From his time in Missouri, we have a St Louis Blues jersey worn by Mayers in 2003-04. A label with “56” sizing is affixed to the collar, with NHL and CCM crests over the bottom hem and reverse necklines respectively. Styled with the classic blue note team crest administered in layered tackle twill, “21” is sewn to the sleeves and verso in matching material, with “Mayers” across the affixed nameplate in royal blue twill. The jersey shows heavy use with numerous puck and stick marks to the front and sleeves. Burn marks are also visible on the right shoulder and left sleeve, with a resulting hole near the left elbow. A MeiGray patch sits on the inside hem near the team patch, and according to the company's population report, the jersey is a "White 1st Regular Season" specimen.
