Crowned a Stanley Cup champion after only his second season of play in the National Hockey League, Czech born defenceman Martin Skoula would enjoy a lengthy NHL career of 776 games for clubs like Colorado, Anaheim, Dallas, Minnesota, Pittsburgh and New Jersey with time spent in the KHL, Czech Chance Liga and EHL as well. Also representing his native Czech Republic on numerous occasions, offered here is this Avalanche third jersey worn by Skoula during the 2003-04 season. Made by KOHO, the tie-neck style garment sports a lone size “58” tag affixed to the inner collar while the logos of KOHO and the NHL shield are found over the reverse neckline and hem respectively. Decorated over the front with “Colorado” going diagonally down the chest in tri-layer tackle twill numerals, matching primary logo patches are found resting on top of each shoulder. Having been accented over the sleeves and verso with Skoula’s number “41” in matching tri-layer tackle twill numerals, “Skoula” is spelt out in single layer white twill letters arched across the affixed matching nameplate. Showing just light game-wear, the jersey exhibits stick marks over the front, lower front and left sleeve. Also displaying a spot of stuck on yellow coloured residue near the left elbow, a MeiGray tag numbered “B02515” is sewn inside the reverse hem and according to the company’s population report, the jersey is a “Third Set 2” specimen. A matching LOA will accompany the piece.
