Participating in numerous leagues throughout his career including the AHL, DEL, LNAH and others, Francois Groleau was drafted by Calgary in 1991 and saw NHL action in eight regular-season contests spread over parts of three seasons with the Montreal Canadiens (1995-98). Offered here, is this Montreal Canadiens jersey issued to Groleau for use during the 1999-2000 NHL season. Featuring both Pro Player and size “58” tags/labels affixed to the inner collar, Pro Player and NHL shield logos have been embroidered into the reverse hem as well. Styled with the familiar “CH” crest of Les Canadiens over the front of the garment, and the “NHL2000” patch worn during the season over the right collarbone, Groleau’s number “54” is sewn to both the sleeves and verso in tri-layer tackle twill numerals while “Groleau” has been spelt out in single layer blue twill letters across the affixed matching nameplate. Issued but never worn, the jersey remains in beautiful condition with just a couple of small spot stains over the left sleeve being observed. A Canadiens LOA signed by Rejean Houle will accompany the piece.
