A product of the Saskatoon Blades who was drafted by the Quebec Nordiques 12th overall in the 1st round of the 1994 NHL Entry Draft, Wade Belak would suit up for 549 National Hockey League games over the course of his career, spending most of that time in Toronto as a member of the Maple Leafs. Known for his ability to throw fists and hailing from his career high in points season of 2002-03, is this Maple Leafs third jersey worn by Belak. Made by KOHO and having had both size “58” and “Made in Canada” tags affixed to the inner collar, a KOHO patch has been added over the reverse neckline while the NHL shield has been embroidered into the reverse hem. Decorated over the front with a vintage style Maple Leafs team crest that has had “Toronto Maple Leafs” and other details embroidered into it, the sleeves and verso of the tie-neck style garment have been accented with Belak’s number “2” in single layer blue twill numerals while “Belak” is spelt out in matching style across the affixed matching nameplate across the upper back. Exhibiting game-wear via stick marks over the front, reverse and both sleeves along with board burns over both sleeves as well, a MeiGray tag numbered “A08325” has been sewn inside the reverse hem and according to the company’s population report, the jersey is a “Third Set 2 / Playoffs” specimen. A matching MeiGray LOA will accompany the piece.
