Selected 81st overall by the Edmonton Oilers at the 2005 NHL Entry Draft, Danny Syvret, a Memorial Cup champion the year prior with the London Knights, would make his National Hockey League debut on November 4th, 2005 against the St. Louis Blues wearing the jersey up for grabs here. Made by Reebok, both size “58” and Elite Sportswear tags are affixed to the inner collar while logo patches of Reebok and the NHL shield adorn the reverse neckline and hem respectively. Decorated over the front with the well-known Oilers team crest that features textured details, matching alternate logo crests reside over each shoulder. Syvret's number “28” has been added to the sleeves and verso in tri-layer tackle twill numerals while “Syvret” has been spelt out in matching style across the affixed matching nameplate. Showing moderate game wear, stick marks are seen over the front and both sleeves while board burns and board paint transfers are observed over both sleeves as well with the heaviest examples at the left elbow. An Oilers team tag is sewn inside the rear hem denoting the jersey as a “2005/2006 Set #1” example and is joined alongside it by a MeiGray tag numbered “C03504” with the company’s population report listing the jersey as a “White Set 1” specimen as does the accompanying matching Oilers LOA. Additionally, the jersey is photo-matched with Getty Image #56168678 (November 14th, 2005 vs Colorado) to the board paint transfer and stick marks near the left elbow. Also included with the jersey is a 16” x 20” photo of Syvret that has been signed by him with a crisp blue marker ink signature that displays without issue. Matted under black, copper and navy velvet mattes, the photograph remains in good condition and has an NHL hologram affixed to the bottom right corner.
