Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction February 2024

Drafted by Calgary in 2004, Brandon Prust saw action with the club in 78 games spread over three seasons. From his final season in Alberta, we have a Flames jersey worn by Prust in 2009-10. A Reebok Edge 1.0 specimen, the interior of the collar features size “56” flag tagging ("33 is handwritten"), with the front of the jersey stylized with the Flames crest as well as the NHL shield at the neckline and the teams 30th anniversary patch over the right breast. Featuring "33” sewn to the sleeves and verso in three layer stacked tackle twill, "Prust" appears on the affixed matching nameplate, while the shoulders carry the flag patches for the Province of Alberta and Canada respectively. There is also a second fight strap that has been added to the interior. Showing light game-use, the jersey has a few random dark marks, with a large repair on the reverse upper left shoulder - where material was added to the interior to cover a large gap in missing fabric. A MeiGray patch numbered “G01593” has been sewn inside the reverse hem, and according to the company’s population report, the jersey is a “White Set 1" specimen. An LOA will accompany, and we should note that it erroneously lists the jersey as a "2008-09" model.
