Having playing in a total of 282 NHL games over the course of his career with clubs such as Ottawa, Washington, Florida, Pittsburgh and Atlanta, Joel Kwiatkowski would also play in various leagues overseas such as the KHL, NHA and SHL. An IIHF World Championship silver medalist with his native Canada in 2009, offered here is this Washington Capitals jersey worn by Kwiatkowski during the 2002-03 season. Made by KOHO with a single size “58” tag sewn inside the collar, a KOHO patch has been added over the reverse neckline while the NHL shield has been embroidered into the reverse hem. Decorated over the front with a large Capitals capital building team crest that features both textured and embroidered details, matching screaming eagle patches have been added over each shoulder as well. Having had Kwiatkowski's number “29” sewn to the sleeves and verso in tri-layer tackle twill numerals, “Kwiatkowski” is spelt out in matching style across the affixed matching nameplate. Remaining in good condition while exhibiting light game-wear, board burns are found over sleeves with some over the right elbow area resulting in unrepaired holes. Showcasing additional wear through white coloured paint transfers around the right elbow, a Capitals team tag has been sewn inside the reverse hem that denotes the jersey as a “2002-2003 Set #2” offering. Additionally, a MeiGray tag numbered “A04517” is sewn inside the reverse hem as well with the company’s population report listing the jersey as a “Black 2nd Regular Season” set offering. A matching LOA will accompany the piece.
