Selected 32nd overall by the Detroit Red Wings at the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, Landon Ferraro would play a total of 77 NHL games over the course his career, winning a Calder Cup with the Grand Rapids Griffins in 2013 before heading overseas, where he currently plays in the German DEL. Offered here, is this Red Wings jersey worn by Ferraro during the 2015 Hall of Fame Game on November 6th, 2015. Made by Reebok, a size “56” tag has been affixed to the inner collar while NHL and Reebok logos adorn the front and back necklines respectively. Styled with the famed Red Wings crest over the front, the Hall of Fame Game patch is seen over the left breast. Of note, the patch was originally affixed to the right side where light residue can be seen, the team removed the patch and the jerseys were worn until later in the season with the patch reapplied on the wrong side when they were offered for sale. Having been accented over the sleeves and verso with Ferraro’s number “29” in single layer twill numerals, “Ferraro” is spelt out in single layer red twill letters that are arched across the upper back and have been sewn directly to the jersey. Exhibiting light-to-moderate game-wear, a pair of team repairs as well as board burns are present near the right cuff with light stick marks near the right arm pit and pilling to the interior as well. Also displaying a team repair over the reverse hem as well as some marks under the reverse “2”, a pair of Red Wings team patches and a team inventory barcode are found on the interior denoting the jersey as a 2015-16 1st set specimen with “65652” also found. Accompanied by the original price tag and a HockeyTown COA, the jersey has been photo-matched with Getty Image #496052006 (November 6th, 2015 vs Toronto) to the hole over the reverse hem that was then repaired by the team.
