An NHL veteran of 11 seasons with 484 games played under his belt, Mike Commodore would win a Stanley Cup championship as a member of the Carolina Hurricanes in 2006 as well as an IIHF World Championship gold medal with Canada in 2007. Up for grabs here, is this Detroit Red Wings jersey worn by Mike during the 2011-12 season. Made by Reebok, a single size “58” tag is sewn to the inner collar while both NHL shield and Reebok crests adorn the front and reverse necklines respectively. Of note, the NHL shield patch has come partially detached at one side. Decorated over the front with Detroit’s famed winged wheel team crest that displays embroidered details, the memorial patch for former Red Wings Brad McCrimmon, Ruslan Salei and Stefan Liv, who had all perished in the Lokomotiv tragedy, is sewn to the top of the left sleeve. Having had Commodore’s number “22” sewn to the sleeves and verso in single layer white twill numerals, “Commodore” is spelt out in matching style arched across the upper back. Exhibiting just light game-wear, a light stick mark is present over the reverse hem while some pilling is seen on the interior. Additionally, small spot stains are found over the front and reverse hems as well. Showcasing a Red Wings team patch sewn inside the right hip that denotes the jersey as a “2011-2012 Authentic Game Jersey 1st Set” specimen, a team inventory barcode is heat pressed above along with the number “53645” which corresponds with the accompanying HockeyTown COA.
